The Myers-Briggs personality test, in particular, has remained popular since its creation back in the 1950s-perhaps because its simple four-letter categorization is simple and intelligible enough for anyone to understand. If the ongoing fascination with astrology, personality tests, psychics, and the like is any indication, humans are innately curious creatures who are constantly trying to understand themselves.
